On the Greek island of Cephalonia, music brings together those whom war tears apart. In Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), directed by John Madden, Nicolas Cage and Penélope Cruz portray a romance disrupted by the Italian occupation, alongside John Hurt and Christian Bale. The music composed by Stephen Warbeck accompanies the romantic moments and heartbreak of this Universal production. Released by Decca, the album features the film’s score and vocal selections, including “Senza di te” and “Ricordo ancor (Pelagia’s Song),” performed by Russell Watson.
Rediscover the film’s Mediterranean atmosphere and emotion with this CD, a must-have addition to your soundtrack collection.
